About the Editors and Cover Illustrator
Chris Ware
Chris Ware, Editor, is the author of “Jimmy Corrigan—the Smartest Kid on Earth,” which received the Guardian First Book Award in 2001 and was also included in the 2002 Whitney Biennial of American Art. In 2004 he edited and designed the thirteenth issue of McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern as an all-comics volume and was the first cartoonist chosen to regularly serialize a story in The New York Times Magazine in 2005. An infrequent contributor to The New Yorker, his work was also the focus of an exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago in 2006.
Anne Elizabeth Moore
Anne Elizabeth Moore, Series Editor, is a writer for and coeditor of Punk Planet. She has earned Harvey and Eisner Award nominations for her work on the Comics Journal and the first two Comics Journal Special Editions. She’s written for The Onion, the Journal of Popular Culture, and Bitch, and provided commentary on CNN and NPR. She has an M.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
David Heatley
David Heatley is a cartoonist who lives in Queens, NY, with his wife, the writer Rebecca Gopoian, and their children, Maya and Sam. His comics and illustrations have appeared on the cover of The New Yorker, in The New York Times, McSweeney’s, Kramer’s Ergot, Mome, and Nickelodeon.
